Getting the plaque for most improved in cross country my sophomore year of high school was important to me. I improved greatly from my freshman year to my sophomore year and this award shows that I achieved my goal. I went from starting my freshmen year slow and on the JV team to breaking 18:30 my sophomore year earning my spot on varsity.
